    Albany Hill Plant Walk

    1:00 – 2:30pm
    Led by Margot Cunningham, Natural Areas Manager for the City of Albany

    Learn about the diverse native plants and habitats on this walk from the bottom to the top of Albany Hill, an urban oasis. Start at the far north end on Madison Street in Albany. Bring water and wear sturdy shoes. Walking sticks are good for steep spots along parts of the trail.

    Albany Hill History Walk

    3:00 – 4:30pm
    Led by Karen Sorensen, local historian who has written two books about Albany history.
    Learn how the hill withstood dynamite explosions and numerous development schemes and has been a home and playground for many generations. Start at the northwest end of the hill along Pierce Street near the creek.
