Carole Fitzgerald’s Art

Carole Fitzgerald, former President and current co-chair of Friends of Albany Hill , is an artist and art instructor living in Albany. Plants and animals on the hill were the inspiration for several of her paintings.

In a 1994 interview for a local newspaper Carole said that she likes to marry art with her causes and was inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe, who said, “If I paint my flowers large enough, people will notice them.” Fitzgerald said in the interview, “I will get my camera and see what is there. Then, if I paint what is there large enough, people will see what is there.”
